In the fall of year 2016, The founding members of the Phunk Junkeez put aside their differences and came together to perform for the fans, friends and phanatics for the NO CLASS REUNION show at Wasted Grain on November 25th, 2016 in Scottsdale, AZ. Due to the immediate sell-out status of the show, another show was added to the Marquee Theater on November 23rd.
This was the first time in 20 years that all of the core members had been in the same room, let alone been on stage performing songs from their first album The Phunk Junkeez and its follow-up album Injected. The dates were booked, the tickets sold out, the rehearsals began and the anticipation became the talk of the town. Both shows were attended by grateful fans from all over the country that were excited to see the band for the first time, with all founding members, in two decades. The 90’s were a special time in Arizona, and for a few days in 2016, The Phunk Junkeez ruled the underground music scene once again.
We would like to thank everyone that came out to share these special concerts with us, and hope that in the future you can tell the stories and sing the songs that many of us local Arizona residents remember so fondly about growing up in the desert during the 90’s.
